The study surveyed relative risk of confirmed and mortality cases of COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria. These were investigated using a novel Poisson-Generalized Exponential (PGE) empirical Bayes model; based on Bayes theorem. The results revealed that the risk of being infected with COVID-19 disease as well as dying is highest in South-West and North-Central regions respectively. The study is highly likely to aid government policy decisions and implementation on COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria. The study has added to literature the use of PGE empirical Bayes model in disease mapping Keywords: COVID-19, Disease Mapping, Pandemic, Poisson-Generalized Exponential, Relative Risk 0150
